Erik Burke paints vibrant and crisp orange poppy-like flowers with yellow and black centers against a background of steel, deep sky and powder blue leaf-like figures. The silhouette of stems and flowers without petals are cast sporadically throughout the composition, at times intersecting the poppy-like flowers, thus taking on a translucent appearance and revealing details of the poppy-like flowers they intersect. The words "Back in the Day is Now" are painted across the mural in a translucent white, again revealing details of the poppy-like flowers over which they are painted. The starkly-contrasting colors of the mural allow the bright flowers in the foreground to stand out and pop against the more subdued background. The mural is 130 x 24 ft.
