[Appeared on RGJ page 11 with caption:] HERE FROM HONG KONG, China, is 17-year-old Priscilla Tang, center in above photo, shown with family friends, Atty, and Mrs. Albert Hilliard. Reno, who were influential in having her enter the University of Nevada this year. Daughter of Maj. Gen. Tai Tong Tang, who served with the southern Chinese forces under Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek during World War II., Miss Tang is a British subject and plans to major in English at the university. The Hilliards met the Tang family during their summer trip to China where they were guests at a hotel owned by Priscilla's parents. (Gazette photo)

The Nevada State Journal (founded on November 23, 1870) and the Reno Evening Gazette (founded on March 28, 1876) were combined on October 7, 1983 to create the Reno-Gazette Journal (RGJ). The collection contains negatives of photographs taken by Reno Gazette-Journal reporters from 1959-2003 for use in news stories.
