[Appeared on RGJ page 2 with caption:] PROUDLY DISPLAYING their new pet, an orange and brown colored turtle, are Dale Jones, 12 and her brother, Micheal Jones, 11 at their home at 65 Elm Street. The turtle was sent to them last week by Charles B. Bins, president of the Gallipolis, Ohio Chamber of Commerce. The children has sent a letter requesting the turtle after they lost one near Gallipolis last summer while on vacation.

The Nevada State Journal (founded on November 23, 1870) and the Reno Evening Gazette (founded on March 28, 1876) were combined on October 7, 1983 to create the Reno-Gazette Journal (RGJ). The collection contains negatives of photographs taken by Reno Gazette-Journal reporters from 1959-2003 for use in news stories.
