Item Description
The subsequent engine "spec" card that was based on this image includes the number "S-535" in the lower right hand corner, along with the following information on its verso: Built by the American Locomotive Company, New York. Class 460-184, Tender Type 8-Wheeled, Capacity, Water, 7000 gallons, Fuel, 3000 gallons. The weight of the locomotive was listed at 184,000 pounds (which conflicts with Myrick's listing of 188,600 pounds). ALCO builders number 44753. Locomotive No. 12 was sold to the Northwestern Pacific Railroad and renumbered to the No. 129, then the No. 179. It was scrapped on August 4, 1952 at Tiburon, California.
