Hands Up

A woman and young boy dance together in this mural by Erik Burke. Their bodies and garments are painted using the same palette of browns, reds, and greens. The boy wears a long-sleeved shirt with teal stripes around the forearms, upper arms and chest, matching the string of pearls worn by the woman. Two bright green-flanked-by-white stripes run through the mural, a curved one along the top and a straight one along the bottom. Starting near the left elbow of the boy, bright pink flowers interspersed with black dots run around and then through the dancers. A raven appears on the left side of the mural, perched atop the building's awning. The mural is 26 x 60 ft.
