The classes are under the direction of Dr. John Manning, shown at left in the top photo. He is assisted by Mrs. Helen Early, right. The two views of the classes show the wide range of settings in which speech difficulties are corrected.

The Nevada State Journal (founded on November 23, 1870) and the Reno Evening Gazette (founded on March 28, 1876) were combined on October 7, 1983 to create the Reno-Gazette Journal (RGJ). The collection contains negatives of photographs taken by Reno Gazette-Journal reporters from 1959-2003 for use in news stories.
