Ashley touches on the importance of preserving traditional knowledge and passing it down to future generations. Also discussed is Ashley George’s mother, Wuzzie George, and her contributions in making and repairing baskets and her role in passing down traditional knowledge and skills.

Ashley Malford George (1933-2023) was born in Stillwater, Nevada, to Wuzzie and Jimmy George and lived his life sharing the culture and traditions of the Stillwater Toi-Ticutta Paiute lifeways. The collection contains a recording and transcript of George talking about his mother, Wuzzie, and his life.
