Yolande Jacobson Sheppard looks up at the bronze sculpture of U. S. Senator Pat McCarran after it has been placed in the National Statuary Hall at the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. on March 23, 1960. Yolande Jacobson Sheppard was a sculpture artist whose work has been exhibited in many art shows, museums, and universities although she was not as well known as her husband, Art Professor and renowned artist, Craig Sheppard. One of her more well-known works (pictured here) was a bronze statue of Nevada Senator Patrick Anthony McCarran created for the National Statuary Hall collection in Washington, D.C.
