Two University of Nevada, Reno students make wolf signs with paint-covered hands. Painting the 'N' is one of Nevada's oldest traditions wherein during Welcome Week, University of Nevada, Reno students trek up the flanks of Peavine Peak to add a coat of fresh white paint to the large, unmistakable 'N' of Nevada that overlooks the University.

This collection contains photographs taken for high-profile university events by the University of Nevada, Reno Office of Marketing and Communications. Events include visits to the university by Johnny Mathis, Hillary Clinton, and Brian Sandoval, as well as the annual tradition of University of Nevada, Reno students repainting the 'N' (for 'Nevada') on Peavine Peak.
