Photograph of Nevada baseball player Lyle Overbay. Overbay was an outfielder for the Wolf Pack from 1996 to 1999. Over his four seasons at Nevada, Overbay scored 243 runs, drove in 257 runs, hit 39 home runs, and posted a .358 batting average. Overbay was an All-Big West first team selection in 1998 and in 1999. In 1999 Overbay earned All-America honors after scoring 76 runs and driving in 88 runs with a .420 batting average. Overbay was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 18th round of the 1999 MLB June Amateur Draft. Overbay was inducted into the Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010.
