Cup with handle: cup is close coiled, bundle foundation, non-interlocking stitch, start normal but leaves a hole, tapered self-rim; braided handle is structural open coiled, coils are looped before stitched back in.

This digital collection represents baskets from the University of Nevada, Reno Department of Anthropology's Huber collection. Lulu K. Huber collected nearly 600 baskets made by Native American weavers from roughly 1840 to 1930, including pieces by weavers from Washoe, Paiute, Shoshone, Bannock and Ute peoples in the Great Basin and by weavers from more than 25 Native American peoples elsewhere in the West.
