Photograph of Cortez Mines Railroad Locomotive No. 1; This 30" Locomotive No. 1 "Cortez" (0-4-0T) was originally built in 1890 for the Cortez Mines Ltd. Railroad in Beowawe, Nevada (H.K. Porter, Inc. 1196). It was later used in the 1950s at Last Frontier Village at the Hotel Last Frontier in Las Vegas, Nevada with a black-only paint scheme. In this photo it is wearing its "Fort Lucinda Railroad" lettering at the Old West theme park at the Gold Strike Inn in Boulder City. After its restoration and conversion to a 36" narrow gauge in 2006 it is now lettered as the Cortez Mines Ltd. Railway's #1 "Ann Marie" and is based in Hayward, California.
