Photograph of Nevada men's basketball player Kirk Snyder and basketball coach Mark Fox. Snyder was a guard for the Wolf Pack for the 2002 through 2004 seasons. Over his three seasons at Nevada, Snyder averaged 16.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. Snyder was the WAC men's basketball Player of the Year and the WAC's top male student-athlete, commemorated by the Joe Kearney Award, in 2004. Snyder was a first team All-WAC selection in 2003 and in 2004 and was the MVP of the 2004 WAC Tournament. Snyder was a first team All-District selection, the District 8 player of the year, and was an All-American honorable mention by the Associated Press in 2004. Snyder was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 16th overall pick in 2004 NBA Draft. Fox was the associate head coach under Trent Johnson for the 2001 through 2004 seasons and the head coach for the 2005 through 2009 seasons. Over his five seasons as the head coach, Fox led the Wolf Pack to 123 wins, 3 NCAA Tournament appearances (05-07), and 2 College Basketball Invitational appearances (08-09). Nevada finished the regular season in first place three times, tied for first once, and second once in the WAC under Fox. Nevada won the WAC Tournament in 2006. Fox was the Don Haskins Coach of the Year in 2005, 2006, and 2007 and was the District 13 Coach of the Year in 2007. Fox was inducted into the Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.
