Photograph of Leland Sparks Jr. standing in front of an airplane with the following on the side: Hawkins Powers Aviation, 124. Handwritten on verso: Lee Sparks in front of one of the last 7 or 8 PB 4 1/2. Now used to fight fires - under contract to USFS. Stripped of all armor & arms. Carrys 10 tons of Slurry: contract say they shall be airborne in 15 min after called. One had cracked up the week before. Insured for $130,000. but worth much more. at Elko Nev. Airport. Aug/Sept 1975.
