Hat

Hat: flexible, close twining, three strand twining (s-twist wefts) from start to 1.4 cm, simple twining from 1.4 cm to rim with exception of two three strand twined rows (s-twist wefts) 4.5 cm from start and 1.5 cm from rim. Rim: brown, simple twine end selvage with warps truncated after final weft course. Design: concentric black band 1.4 cm from start with four pairs of vertical lines extending from band ending in horizontally pointing triangles; brown, black and red bands starting at 4.9 cm from start; on wall are three repeating designs of a diagonal zigzag line outlined by three triangles on either side; above, starting at 2.5 cm from rim, are red, black and brown bands; design of an inverted triangle, rhomb, and triangle repeats three times around upper wall, 1.3 cm from rim.
