Item Description
This view shows the front entrance of the Frandsen Humanities Building looking from a southeast viewpoint on a spring day. Frandsen Humanities was built in 1918. Originally the Agriculture Building, the name later changed to honor beloved biology professor and 1895 graduate Peter “Bugs” Frandsen. The building housed classrooms and laboratories for the College of Agriculture, as well as for Home Economics, until they both moved into other buildings in the late 1950’s. The building then became home to the departments of Philosophy and Foreign Language until it underwent a two-year remodel and reopened in 2000 to house the Department of English.
