Students sit at tables near the east side of the Jot Travis Student Union. Lincoln Hall is visible in the background. The Jot Travis Student Union was built in 1958 as the first student center on campus. The building became home to the Davidson Academy when the new student center, the Joe Crowley Student Union, was opened in 2007. Lincoln Hall was built as an all-male dormitory built to house 100 students in 1896 and maintained its status as the oldest continuously-operating residence hall in the western United States until 2015.
