Item Description
Students romp around during Cane Rush with the Chemistry Building in the background. The caption on the image reads, "Progress of the Love Feast." Cane Rush was an event where sophomores and freshmen were pitted in a game of strength and agility wherein a cane had to pass through the opponent team and reach the end of the Quad. Cane Rush was part of early university hazing often harshly done from upperclassmen to lowerclassmen.
