Flat bottom bowl: flexible, close twining, simple twining (z-twist wefts) from start to rim with exception of three strand twining (s-twist wefts) at 1.4 cm from start (on row). Rim: warp ends are twisted together in pairs, folded at a 180-degree angle and reinserted into adjacent warp rows. Design: horizontal zigzag band around midsection of wall composed of an offset row of triangles below a row of offset rectangles, brown ticked band on .5 cm of wall to rim. Condition: dirty, selvage broken around .8 cm of rim.

This digital collection represents baskets from the University of Nevada, Reno Department of Anthropology's Huber collection. Lulu K. Huber collected nearly 600 baskets made by Native American weavers from roughly 1840 to 1930, including pieces by weavers from Washoe, Paiute, Shoshone, Bannock and Ute peoples in the Great Basin and by weavers from more than 25 Native American peoples elsewhere in the West.
