Item Description
Black Rock Desert. BLM site log. Opened to page with comments by Camille Antinor: "My future husband proposed to me out here. Gorgeous. A spiritual center. Enjoy 11-25-00." This site, Black Rock Springs, is a stop along the Applegate Trail. The trail marker has a sign that reads: "We found this to be an oasis in the desert. A large hot spring, nearly three rods in diameter, and very deep, irrigated about twenty acres of groundthe water cooling as it ran off. Alonzo Delano, August 17, 1849." December, 2000.
