Photograph of the Community Hall, Empire, Nevada; Identification provided by Irene McCurdy, Empire, Nevada: The original Empire community hall was constructed by Pacific Portland Cement Company in 1924; Over the years the structure held host to parties, dances, weddings, meetings and various other community activities. Between the time the old school house burned and the new one was built, the hall served as a school house; This wood frame building was razed in 1985, after a new community center was built.
