Handwritten on front: Have spent a few days and nights out here this summer - found the water fine! Handwritten on verso: Dear Charlie, I received your card about five weeks ago. Was glad to hear from you. I found Jack's trunk at the Van Nuyo hotel O.K. and have it in my keeping until Jack's return from N.Y. where he now is.
