Heraldry. A single eight-pointed charge (possibly a star, mullet, or spur depending on context) on a solid colored field. The eight points are typical of the Catalan and Spanish heraldry. The design represented here is fairly common, making it difficult to determine which group or location this escudo de armas (coat of arms) represents. This design has been associated with, among other things, the Echavarri/Echavarri family; Uniciti, a valley and municipality in Navarra; and the Sitjar family of Girona, Catalonia.
