Item Description
Members of the ski team dance at the Winter Carnival "Sno-Ball" held at Hidden Valley country club. Identified students include, Lyle Bundy, Jimm Kinsey, Ron Groskopf, John Hancock, Chris Mazzola, Hap Sholk, Mike Brunetto, Lane Munroe, Glenn Bard, George Twardokens, Sharon Kalkwski, Merry Ritterby, Tina Condron, Barbara Isbell, Judy Weishaupt, Janice Webb, Pam Sargent, and Bobbie Watne. The Winter Carnival started on campus in 1939 and was an annual event where students participated in all kinds of winter activities, including skiing in the nearby Sierras, ice skating on Manzanita Lake, and electing Winter Carnival royalty. The event still happens on campus today, although in a much more tame version of free hot chocolate and carnival games.
