Item Description
This mural depicts inebriated individuals floating on the surface of a red sea, flanked by the Roman god of the sea, Neptune, and the Roman god of agriculture, wine and fertility, Bacchus. Lighting bolts strike the red water from an ominous cloudy sky above. On the left of this scene, the words "Craft Wine -n-Beer" are painted vertically, and in the lower-right corner of the mural, against the red-sea background, the quote "Bacchus Hath Drowned more Men than Neptune. -Dr. Thomas Fuller" is etched on a placard flanked by roses. The entire mural is monochromatic, with the exception of the red sea.
