Unknown [Queen of the Rodeo]

Artist Kyler Martz painted this mural in a style reminiscent of American traditional tattoo during the Inaugural Reno Mural Expo in October, 2017. It depicts a tattoo-covered woman in a red swimsuit with white polka dots riding a trout on Lake Tahoe with the snow-peaked Sierras in the background. A cowboy hat is strapped around her neck and blowing behind her. This scene is flanked by two tattoo-covered women in white and gray (one striped, one with a fish-scale pattern) swimsuits riding sea horses and holding a tan banner that reads "Lake Tahoe 1959" over their heads with their free hands. The women have red bandanas around their necks, and the sea horses have red dorsal fins. A red banner that reads "Queen of the Rodeo" runs across the bottom of the mural.
