Item Description
This mural is a three-part piece painted by artist Joe C. Rock. The fence here (of three total) depicts a hand-drawn rudimentary map representing Sparks, Reno, Virginia City and Carson City, Nevada. The sage brush that grows horizontally behind the map peaks through holes in the map and the golden-yellow banner from the Nevada state flag wraps around and through the entire seen. A monochromatic portrait of Kit Carson is painted on the-right side of the fence.
