Each side of Bryce Chisholm's signal box portrays a distinct image. On the front, a young girl wearing a floral headpiece sits on the ground and looks down happily at something she holds in her left hand. The girl was painted against a vibrant yellow background using black, white, and blue paint and a stencil (a technique Chisholm is known for). A teal and lavender hummingbird (also painted using a stencil) silhouetted in magenta and aqua blue hovers behind and to the left of the girl, and the sun sitting behind the girl casts heather-purple rays. Three white damask patterns have been painted in succession (using stencil) on the right side of the box, and a geometric pattern has been painted in magenta in the upper-left corner of the box.
