Hat: flexible, close twining, simple twining (z-twist wefts) from start to rim with exception of three strand twining (z-twist wefts) of two rows at 3 cm and a single row at 4.3 cm from start, a concentric raised area is created at 5.5 cm from start by warps folded at a 90-degree angle and inserted between adjacent warp rows continuing in wall construction. Rim: warp ends are folded at a 180-degree angle and reinserted between adjacent warp rows. Design: two bands ticked in brown at 3 cm and at 4.4 cm from start, on wall is a band composed of diagonal lines at three successive heights forming a pyramidal shape with the middle and tallest line containing a diamond at its end, the remaining four lines end in an inverted right triangle. Condition: dirty, selvage is coming apart in five places.

This digital collection represents baskets from the University of Nevada, Reno Department of Anthropology's Huber collection. Lulu K. Huber collected nearly 600 baskets made by Native American weavers from roughly 1840 to 1930, including pieces by weavers from Washoe, Paiute, Shoshone, Bannock and Ute peoples in the Great Basin and by weavers from more than 25 Native American peoples elsewhere in the West.
