Item Description
The University Entrance Gates are shown here with a 1941 Plymouth in the background. The campus entrance gates are located at the southern end of campus, where Center Street crosses Ninth Street and then turns into a campus driveway. The original gates were built as gifts by early university graduating classes, and their year marks of '98' and '01' can still be seen on the original stone pillars. Today, the entrance is much wider than its original version, and the original stone walls, wrought iron gates, and light posts are gone.
