Item Description
This architectural drawing of the Mackay Science Building was completed by artist Robert Cockwood for Architect Frederick DeLongchamp's architectural firm. The Mackay Science Building was built in 1930 as a space to house the schools of Physics and Chemistry. Funded by university donor Clarence Mackay and designed by renowned Reno architect Frederick DeLongchamps, Mackay Science was praised as one of the most modern places to teach science in the western United States. Today the building houses the Department of Geography.
