Globular bowl with strap handle and lid: bowl has close coiling, two rod stacked foundation, oval start, unintentional split stitch on non-work surface, self-rim; handle is a bundle foundation wrapped in stitch material with two loops at each end engaged through two loops on either side of piece, 2.5 cm from rim. Lid has similar construction, with coiling at start constructed to form a knob in center of piece that stands 2.3 cm tall and is 2.5 cm wide; three stacked coils are positioned perpendicularly under third coil from rim. Interior design of bowl is four rectangles around a center rectangle repeated in a horizontal row around wall. On either side of design are two concentric lines.

Collection Description
This digital collection represents baskets from the University of Nevada, Reno Department of Anthropology's Huber collection. Lulu K. Huber collected nearly 600 baskets made by Native American weavers from roughly 1840 to 1930, including pieces by weavers from Washoe, Paiute, Shoshone, Bannock and Ute peoples in the Great Basin and by weavers from more than 25 Native American peoples elsewhere in the West.
