Item Description
ROTC cadets stand with bayonets unsheathed while student protestors advance toward them during a student-led Vietnam War Protest on Governor's Day. The event happened the day after the fatal police shootings at Kent State University left four students dead and nine wounded after the United States government announced it would be invading Cambodia during the Vietnam War. Students at the University of Reno blocked motor vehicles and advanced onto Mackay Field (photographic print 5 x 7 inches).
