The group of people standing next to the Locomotive No. 8 accompanied California State Senator Charles "Charlie" Brown on this journey. He is the third from the left.The woman at the far left has not been identified. The woman second from the left is Senator Brown's wife, Stella Fairbanks Brown. The man at the far right is Senator Brown's son, Charles Brown, Jr. The building in the background currently serves as the sheriff's office in Shoshone.
