[Appeared on RGJ page 28, 20 with caption:] GLEN ROLFSON is soon starting his eighth month as pianist-organist in the Coach Room of the Mapes Hotel, playing favorite selections and requests.; GRANADA THEATER manager Val Dage received a citation from the motion picture industry, presented by Alan Ladd, who along with the rest of the cast of Guns of the Timberland has been making the Mapes Hotel their headquarters while the Warner Brothers production was being filmed near Reno.

The Nevada State Journal (founded on November 23, 1870) and the Reno Evening Gazette (founded on March 28, 1876) were combined on October 7, 1983 to create the Reno-Gazette Journal (RGJ). The collection contains negatives of photographs taken by Reno Gazette-Journal reporters from 1959-2003 for use in news stories.
