This mural depicts a not-so-typical day at the beach. A woman, half human and half mermaid, with the words "Mer-Maid in the Shade" painted along her tail, suns herself on a beach populated by beach balls, towels, umbrellas and other beach goers, such as the two children building a sand castle. Above the beach is a crumbling-city skyline caused by the lashing tail of the spotted sea creature that swims in the ocean below. An orca emerges from the water above the words "Life's a Beach" and a bright orange sun wearing shutter shades hangs in the sky.
