Item Description
This photograph of the Dairy Building shows three cows in the foreground (photographic print, 3.5 x 7 inches). The Dairy Building was constructed in 1913 where the current day addition to the Paul Laxalt Mining Engineering Building stands. Designed by renowned Reno architect, Frederick DeLongchamps, the building was renamed the Extension Building in 1929 and the Veterinary Science Building in 1940 until it was demolished in 1988. When Veterinary Sciences moved into the Fleischmann Agriculture Building, the Dairy Building was converted into storage and to house experimental animal colonies.
