Armstrong, wife of the president of the University of Nevada welcomed some 36 new faculty wives to Reno and the local campus. Mrs. Armstrong and the executive board of the Faculty Wives Club, were in the receiving line and hostesses in various rooms were the deans' wives; Mrs. Vernon Scheid, Mrs. Ralph Irwin, Mrs. William Wood, Mrs. Sam Basta and Mrs. H. B. Blodgett. Pictured above, Mrs. Grant Sawyer, wife of the governor, is pouring and standing are; Mrs. James Rogers, Vice President of the FWC, Mrs. Louis Lombardi, Mrs. Weld Arnold, both wives of regents of the university, Mrs. Charles J. Armstrong, Mrs. John W.
