This artist's rendering has a caption reading, "Architectural drawing of Lombardi Recreation Building" (photographic print, 3.25 x 9.75 inches). The Lombardi Recreation Center was opened in 1974 as a place for student physical activity and recreation. It was named in honor of university athletics physician and alumni, Dr. Louis Lombardi. Today, the building houses physical activity classrooms, administrative offices, playing courts, locker rooms, equipment rental facilities, and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
