Item Description
This photo shows the completed model for the bronze sculpture of U. S. Senator Pat McCarran with the caption reading, "Here's how Pat looked when the crate was opened." Yolande Jacobson Sheppard was a sculpture artist whose work has been exhibited in many art shows, museums, and universities although she was not as well known as her husband, Art Professor and renowned artist, Craig Sheppard. One of her more well-known works (pictured here) was a bronze statue of Nevada Senator Patrick Anthony McCarran created for the National Statuary Hall collection in Washington, D.C.
