Los Banos Basque Club hosted Kantari Eguna, or the Day of the Basque Singer competition, for the first time on September 20, 2018. The event is organized at least once a year and its location alternates between the Mendiko Euskaldun Cluba in Gardnerville, Nevada and the Iparreko Ibarra Basque Club in Rocklin, California. The primary objective of the event is getting people together to sing and to preserve Basque heritage.
