Nick Fazekas, University of Nevada, 2007

Fazekas was a forward for the Wolf Pack for the 2004 through 2007 seasons. This was Fazekas' final game in the Lawlor Events Center. Nevada won the regular WAC Conference Championship for the 2007 season. Over his four seasons at Nevada, Fazekas scored 2,464 points, collected 1,254 rebounds, blocked 192 shots, and helped lead the Wolf Pack to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances. Over his final three seasons at Nevada, Fazekas averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds per game. Fazekas was the WAC Player of the Year in 2005, 2006, and 2007 and earned the Joe Kearney Award in 2006 in recognition of being the WAC's Athlete of the Year. Fazekas was a first team All-WAC selection in each of his final three seasons and was the WAC Tournament MVP in 2006. Additionally, Fazekas was a first team all-district selection in 2005, 2006, and 2007 and was the District 8 Player of the Year in 2006 and 2007. Fazekas earned All-America honors in each of his final three seasons. Fazekas was selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2nd round of the 2007 NBA Draft. In 2012, Fazekas moved to Japan and began playing for the Toshiba Brave Thunders in the National Basketball League (NBL). Fazekas was the NBL MVP in 2012 and 2013. Fazekas earned the Doc Martie Award in 2007 in recognition of being Nevada's top senior male student athlete.
